Ukraine intensifies dialogue with Israel on grain trade
Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Taras Kachka discussed priority areas of cooperation with the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Member of the Cabinet for Security Affairs of Israel Avi Dichter.
This was reported by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister on Facebook.
“Ukrainian agriculture is recovering and maintains strong positions in the context of food security in the world, despite the war. Since the beginning of the 2025-2026 marketing year, Ukraine has already exported over 10 million tons of grain and leguminous crops. And it is extremely important for us to continue to ensure the continuity of trade flows of our products,” said Taras Kachka.
It is noted that the parties also discussed:
- the development of economic contacts in the field of developing technologies for modern agriculture and the food industry;
- strengthening the dialogue on trade in grain crops;
- developing potential in the field of aquatic fisheries.
Separately, Kachka met with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar. During the talks, the parties noted the importance of the upcoming meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Israeli Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation to strengthen bilateral partnership.
