Ukraine increased grain exports through Constanta by more than 60% in 2023

The Romanian port of Constanta recorded the highest grain exports in 2023 due to a sharp increase in supplies from Ukraine. The port administration told Reuters on Wednesday.
Last year, the port shipped 36 mln tons of grain, which is 50% more than in the previous year.
Ukrainian grain accounted for about 40% of the total, or 14 million tons (+62%), compared to 13 million at the end of November and 8.6 million for the whole of 2022.
An additional anchorage for Ukrainian agricultural products is planned to be launched in Constanta in March 2024. The agreement was reached in Romania at a meeting on increasing the export capacity of Ukrainian Danube ports.
