Ukraine has started exporting new crop rye
The volume of grain and leguminous crops exports from Ukraine in the MY 2025/26 as of October 3 amounted to 6.7 million tons, which is 4.4 million tons, or 40% less than the previous season. This is evidenced by data from the State Customs Service.
Thus, 4.75 million tons of wheat were exported. The gap from last year’s volumes was 26%.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 861 thousand tons, which is 39% less than the figure on the same date last season.
Rye was exported in the amount of 0.2 thousand tons, which is significantly less than last year’s 7.5 thousand tons. This is the first shipment of the current season.
Corn was exported in the amount of 938 thousand tons, which is three times less than shipments last season.
Flour exports from Ukraine amounted to 15.5 thousand tons, which is 23% less than last year’s figure.
For reference: in the 2024/25 MY, exports of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 40.6 million tons: wheat – 15.7 million tons; barley – 2.3 million tons; rye – 10.8 thousand tons; corn – 22 million tons; flour – 71.1 thousand tons.
