Ukraine has changed the rules for approving minimum export prices

The Cabinet of Ministers has adjusted the rules for setting minimum export prices for a number of key commodities, such as honey, soybeans, rapeseed, wheat, corn, sunflower oil and barley.
This was announced by the government’s representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.
He noted that changes have been made to the Procedure for approving minimum export prices for certain types of goods. In particular, amendments have been made to the terms of supply used to calculate minimum export prices for agricultural products, namely honey, soybeans, rapeseed, wheat, corn, sunflower oil and barley.
The calculation of the minimum export prices for certain products is now based on the tenth percentile, not the fifth percentile as it was before. In addition, the previous month’s data for goods declared under forward contracts and under the relevant UKTZED codes, i.e. seed export operations, are not taken into account when determining these prices.
It is also established that the minimum export price for a particular type of goods cannot be less than the minimum price for this type of goods under the same delivery condition in the previous month.
