Ukraine. Grain handling cost in ports may fall by half

Grain is the main cargo handled by Ukraine’s sea ports, therefore the 2020 crop decline has affected cargo traffic. Severe competition for cargo shippers will begin among port terminals from February 2021. This will be followed by dumping of grain-handling cost from March.
According to forecasts, handling rates in January still may stay around USD 8/MT, but then it will likely fall to USD 5/MT in March, occasionally even to USD 3-4/MT, UkrAgroConsult reports.
