Ukraine. Grain exports redirected to Black Sea and Danube ports
Grain car traffic has shifted from the western borders to the seaports of Greater Odesa. In particular, the queue of grain wagons in the direction of the port of Izmail increased by 30.56% to 705 wagons.
This was reported by Valeriy Tkachev, Deputy Director of the Commercial Department of Ukrzaliznytsia, on Facebook.
According to him, there is currently a slight increase in the volume of grain transportation on the borders with Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary and a decrease in the volume of transportation with Romania.
“Currently, there are no obstacles to the transfer of cargo at land crossings, and the border railroad crossings are operating normally,” he emphasized.
At the same time, the daily unloading rate of grain wagons in the ports of Greater Odesa in March ranges from 1000 to 1540 wagons per day.
The average daily railcar unloading rate in the ports of Greater Odesa is 1,426 railcars per day; the figure slightly decreased over the week (-0.07%).
The number of grain railcars moving towards the ports of Greater Odesa also increased from 6,200 to 7,288, or 17.55% over the past week.
The queue of grain wagons heading to the port of Izmail increased by 165 wagons, or 30.56%.
The average daily railcar unloading rate in the port of Izmail is 104 railcars per day, up 10 railcars or 10.64% over the week.
