Ukraine. FAO launches local tender to purchase winter barley and winter wheat seeds

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has launched a tender to purchase winter barley and winter wheat seeds, which will be provided to small-scaled Ukrainian farmers as support for the 2023 winter sowing campaign. This activity is a part of the FAO’s 2023 Response Programme for Ukraine. The programme aims to support about 5 000 farmers.
The programme is implemented in nine most war-affected oblasts of Ukraine, namely Chernihivska, Dnipropetrovska, Donetska, Kharkivska, Khersonska, Mykolaivska, Odeska, Sumska and Zaporizka oblasts. Within the programme, each eligible farmer will receive 2 tonnes of either winter crop seeds, sufficient to sow 10 hectares of land.
In order to participate in the tender, suppliers are invited to apply through the United Nations Global Market Place www.ungm.org by selecting the following tender:

The closing date and time for the submissions are 4 August 2023, 14:00 (Kyiv time).
