Ukraine exported almost 11 million tons of grain in the new season
According to the data of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, since the beginning of the 2022/23 MR as of October 17, Ukraine exported 10.812 million tons of grain and leguminous crops. On the same date last season, exports amounted to 16.536 million tons.
October export volumes in the current year, regardless of the circumstances, are almost not inferior to last year – 2.119 million tons of grain against 2.172 million tons in October last year. Corn remains the leader in supplies, the October export volume of this crop significantly exceeds last year’s – 1.035 million tons against 0.110 in October 2021.
In general, as of the reporting date, in terms of crops, the following were sent for export:
- corn — 5.879 million tons (1.540 million tons last season);
- wheat — 3.998 million tons (10.737 million tons);
- barley — 0.896 million tons (4.022 million tons);
- rye — 4.7 thousand tons (52.2 thousand tons).
Ukraine also sent 30,600 tons of flour to foreign markets. Last season, this figure was 39.3 thousand tons. The export of flour in October of the current season is higher than in the past: 6.0 thousand tons against 2.8 thousand tons on the same date in October 2021.
