Ukraine exported about 1 million tons of agricultural products through the “grain corridor” to African countries
First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi said that thanks to the “grain corridor” Ukraine managed to export about 1 million tons of agricultural products to African countries.
This is reported by the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
According to Taras Vysotskyi, more than 270 ships with 6.2 million tons of cargo have been able to leave Ukraine through the “grain corridor”. This is 48% of the total export of agricultural products.
“Together with EU partners, we managed to establish uninterrupted operation of the corridor. In particular, this made it possible to resume food supplies to African countries. In two months, we have already sent about 1 million tons of agricultural products there,” Vysotskyi said.
It will be recalled that the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced that the work of the “grain corridor” will be continued. The current agreement expires in November.
