Ukraine exported 34.4 million tons of grain
As of March 18, in 2023/2024 MY Ukraine exported 34 mln 439 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses, which is 3 mln 371 thsd tonnes or 1.1 times less than last year. This is reported on the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Exports of Ukrainian wheat amounted to 12 million 900 thousand tons, which is 615 thousand tons more than last year.
Ukrainian farmers also exported 1 million 872 thousand tons of barley and 1.0 thousand tons of rye.
Exports of Ukrainian corn amounted to 17 mln 381 thsd tonnes, which is 3 mln 600 thsd tonnes or 1.2 times less than last year.
In addition, 76.6 thousand tons of flour (or 102.1 thousand tons in terms of grain) were shipped abroad, which is 32.5 thousand tons or 1.4 times less than last year.
Preliminary data on grain and legume exports were published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy on March 15. According to them, in 2023/2024 MY 32 mln 265 thsd tonnes of grains and pulses were exported.
As a reminder, the exports of agricultural products in the first half of 2023/24 MY are 17% lower than last year.
