Ukraine exported 2.4 million tons of cargo via the Danube in August
Ukraine exported 2.4 million tons of cargo by sea and river in August. The entire volume of shipments was realized through the Danube ports, Spike Brokers writes.
Freight rates for river and sea transport remained at a consistently high level. The seasonal demand was supported by the activity of shipments of the early group of grains.
At the same time, analysts noted that Russia’s attacks on port infrastructure, although damaging to the Ukrainian economy, did not create significant obstacles to exports through the Danube river ports.
