Ukraine exported 1.9 million tons of grain in the new season
The volume of exports of grains and pulses from Ukraine in 2023/24 MY as of July 26 amounted to 1.9 mln tonnes, up 36% compared to the same period last season (1.4 mln tonnes). This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service, published by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Thus, since the beginning of the season, 643 thsd tonnes of wheat have been shipped, which is twice as much as last year.
Barley supplies to foreign markets amounted to 238 thsd tonnes (up 82%).
Rye was shipped in the amount of 0.4 thou tons.
Corn was exported in excess of 1 million tons, up 8% from the same date last season.
In 2023/24 MY, Ukraine exported 8.2 thsd tonnes of flour, up 2.2 times compared to last year (3.7 thsd tonnes).
For reference: in 2022/23 MY, the exports of grains and legumes totaled 49 mln tonnes: wheat – 16.8 mln tonnes, barley – 2.7 mln tonnes, rye – 18 thsd tonnes, corn – 29.1 mln tonnes, flour – 153.6 thsd tonnes.
