Ukraine expects a harvest of grain and oilseed crops of up to 67 million tons
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine expects that in 2022 the harvest of grain and oilseed crops will amount to about 67 million tons. This was said by First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi during the press conference “Harvest in Ukraine 2022”.
“This year, we expect a harvest of grain and oil crops of about 67 million tons. Of course, this is not a record. We had a record last year. But this is one of the five best indicators in 30 years,” he noted.
According to Vysotskyi, the ministry expects that the harvest of grain and pulses crops this year will be approximately 50-52 million tons, and 15-17 million tons of oilseed crops.
The deputy minister noted that in 2022, 80% of the area of the previous year was sown in Ukraine.
We will remind, as of mid-September, agricultural producers in Ukraine collected 26 million tons of grain and pulses crops.
