Ukraine and Nigeria will cooperate within the implementation of the Grain from Ukraine initiative
During the meeting, the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solsky and the Federal Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Mohammad Mahmud Abubakar discussed the ways of practical implementation of humanitarian food aid within the framework of the Grain from Ukraine initiative.
The parties voiced their visions of cooperation at all stages of the implementation of the humanitarian mission. They discussed, in particular, the possibilities of product transportation and the available types of grain for supply.
The ministers agreed to work out the information in more detail, which will ensure the effective implementation of Grain from Ukraine, and to return to its consideration in the near future.

We will remind you that the essence of the humanitarian food program is the purchase by partner countries of agricultural products of Ukrainian producers and their delivery to countries in Africa and Asia that are on the brink of starvation.
The program has already started working. The first ships are already delivering food. Also, as part of the initiative, negotiations regarding the purchase and delivery of wheat grain have been started.
