Turkey imported a record volume of Ukrainian wheat
Ukraine exported 2.9 MMT of wheat in October 2019/20 that is an all-time high for this month and up 33% from October 2018/19, reports UkrAgroConsult.
11.6 MMT of wheat was exported in July-October 2019/20 that is an all-time high for this period and up 54% from September-October 2018/19.
Supplies to the majority of key markets increased substantially from the same time in MY 2018/19 – Egypt (+ 245%), Bangladesh (+ 152%), Morocco (+ 55%), Indonesia (+ 45%), Thailand (+ 34%), Tunisia (+ 23%).
Exports to Turkey reached a record 690.2 KMT, or 89% more than in the whole of MY 2018/19.
A substantial decline in demand from the EU (-43%), South Korea (-40%), the Philippines (-16%).
