Turkey and Egypt are to buy record volume of Romanian corn this season
According to the port data, in March 2019/20 MY Romanian corn exports became 51% higher than the 3-year average for March, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Key buyers of the month were: Egypt, South Korea, Turkey, Saudi Arabia.
Due to the high corn crop, in September-March 2019/20 Romania shipped 41% more corn via ports compared to the same period last season.
Sharp increase in exports was seen to Spain (+47%), Egypt (+303%), Turkey (160%), Netherlands (+59%), Italy (+23%). This season Turkey and Egypt are expected to buy record volume of Romanian corn.
