Turkey abolished customs duties on a number of fertilizers
Turkey has abolished customs duties on several fertilizers to protect the agricultural sector from rising costs, according to a presidential decree published in the government’s official newspaper, Resmi Gazete.
The ministry’s statement noted that the rates for some nitrogen and complex fertilizers have been reduced to zero. A presidential decree published in the Official Gazette on April 3 also states that Turkey has abolished customs duties on the import of ammonium-containing complex fertilizers, including ammonium sulfate, ammonium nitrate, calcium ammonium nitrate (CAN), and diammonium phosphate. Last month, a presidential decree abolished customs duties on urea imports from certain countries.
