Tunisia buys 50,000 tons of corn in international tender

Tunisia’s grain agency has purchased approximately 50,000 metric tons of corn through an international tender, Reuters quoted European traders as saying. The grain is to be sourced from optional origins.
Two consignments of 25,000 tonnes each were reportedly secured.
One from Raya Trading House at \$252.27/ton (C\&F), for delivery between July 25 and August 25 and another from Viking at \$247.85/ton (C\&F), for delivery between September 25 and October 25.
The purchase prices were higher than the lowest offers initially submitted. Traders noted that unattractive terms can often lead to low bids being rejected.
These figures are based on preliminary trade estimates and may be subject to revision.
