Three more vessels successfully sailed through the temporary corridor to Romanian waters
The vessels Ida, Olga and Danny Boy have successfully navigated the Ukrainian grain corridor along the coast of Odesa region to the territorial sea of Romania.
The vessels Ida and Olga are owned by German shipowners, while Danny Boy is owned by a Greek shipowner.
“That is, 8 vessels out of 12 that entered have already left and successfully made their way back with cargo. We can add to this arithmetic the first 5 ships, previously blocked at the beginning of the Great War, which tested this new corridor in August-September,” said Andriy Klymenko, Head of the Monitoring Group of the Black Sea Strategic Studies Institute.
Klymenko also added that each such “free passage” is a complex operation of the Navy, air defense and other forces.
“For friends who like to ask: why didn’t they do this before? It is worth mentioning that the Russian Black Sea Fleet used to feel relatively well in Sevastopol and near the Bosphorus. Now it doesn’t,” Klymenko said.
