The vegetable meat market in Europe is growing

Sales of plant-based meat in Europe reached €2.01 billion in 2022, up 3% compared to 2021 and 19% compared to 2020.
Vegetable meat accounts for 35% of the total volume of alternative meat in Europe. Retail sales of plant-based foods amounted to €5.8 billion in 2022. The plant-based meat market is showing steady growth, with an expected CAGR of 10% through 2028. Countries such as Germany, Italy, Portugal and Romania are actively contributing to this growth, while the UK and the Netherlands are already stable and saturated markets.
