The rate of grain export from Ukraine is 2 times lower than last year’s figures

During the two months of the new grain season (from July 1), Ukraine exported 3.96 million tons of grain and pulses crops. Export rates are more than 2 times lower than last year’s 8.6 million tons.
This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service.
In terms of crops, the volume of deliveries of Ukrainian grain to foreign markets is significantly lower in all positions, except for corn. The export of corn in the 2022/23 MR is twice as high as last year: 2.498 million tons against 1.264 million tons in the 2021/22 season.
Export of wheat is almost 4 times lower than last season: 1.139 million tons against 4.573 in the previous year. Even more, almost 9 times, the figure for barley was requested – 310 thousand tons against last year’s 2.755 million tons.
The biggest drop (25 times) in rye exports was 0.5 thousand tons against 12.5 thousand tons last year. In addition to grain, Ukraine exported another 11.9 thousand tons of flour, which is actually less than last season — 24.1 thousand tons.
