The liberation of Kherson opens the export of grain from the ports of Mykolaiv

The de-occupation of Kherson opens up the possibility of exporting grain from Mykolaiv ports. The President of the Ukrainian Grain Association, Mykola Gorbachev, told about this in an interview with NV.
— The distance from Kherson to Mykolaiv is about 60 kilometers. Therefore, the prospect of shipping grain from this port is absolutely real. Moreover, in the new grain agreement, which is currently being discussed in Turkey, Mykolaiv is also indicated as a port for exporting products, he says.
He recalled that before the full-scale invasion, Ukrainian farmers shipped about 25-30% of all exports through Mykolaiv port.
— For the last two months, Ukraine has been exporting four million tons of grain per month. An additional 2-2.5 million tons could be shipped from Mykolaiv. Before the war, our exports amounted to 6-7 million tons per month, he says.
