The European Union still suffers from problems with mineral fertilizers

The memebers of the European Parliament called on the European Commission to consider the creating of a mechanism for joint interstate purchases of mineral fertilizers to ensure a stable supply of them to farmers of the European Union.
Therefore, they proposed to provide financial assistance to farmers and temporarily suspend anti-dumping duties on mineral fertilizers, except for those imported from Russia and Belarus. They also recommended accelerating the process of decarbonization of the chemical industry.
And, finally, the deputies called for the adoption of long-term strategies of the European Union on mineral fertilizers and soil nutrition by June of this year.
