Taiwan purchased 89.65 thsd tons of wheat at tender
On Wednesday, July 16, the Taiwan Flour Millers Association (FMA) purchased 89.65 thousand tons of milling wheat of US origin at a tender.
The winner of the tender was Columbia Grain International.
Wheat of various types was purchased with shipment from ports on the northwest coast of the United States:
27.7 thousand tons of dark red northern spring (DNS) with a protein content of at least 14.5% at $278.26 per ton on a FOB basis with delivery on September 14-28;
9.675 thousand tons of hard red winter (HRW) with a protein content of at least 12.5% at $241.91 per ton on a FOB basis with delivery on September 14-28;
7.2 thousand tons of soft white (SW) with a protein content of 8-10% at $244.43 per ton on a FOB basis for delivery on September 14-28;
27.2 thousand tons of dark red northern spring (DNS) with a protein content of at least 14.5% at $289.36 per ton on a FOB basis for delivery on October 2-16;
10.825 thousand tons of hard red winter (HRW) with a protein content of at least 12.5% at $253.75 per ton on a FOB basis for delivery on October 2-16;
7.05 thousand tons of soft white (SW) with a protein content of 8-10% at $246.27 per ton on a FOB basis for delivery on October 2-16.
The first, September, batch from the US to Taiwan will be shipped at a rate of $44.19 per tonne, while the second, October batch will be shipped at a rate of $44.59 per tonne.
