Sunseed price growth in Ukraine has stopped

The Purchase price of sunseed in Ukraine last week stopped the growth at 15500-16500 UAH/t (including VAT) with delivery to the plant amid the accumulation of significant stocks of raw materials from processors and the decline in demand prices for sunflower oil by $5/t to 775-785 $/t with delivery to the port due to increased competition with sellers from Russia, which to enhance sales are willing to significantly lower the price, as happened at the last tender in Egypt.

According to Trading Economics, world prices for sunflower oil for delivery to buyers during the week remained at 855 $/t, although for the month increased by 5.5% following the prices of soybean and palm oil.

The price of sunseed supports the increased demand for sunflower meal, the price of which for the week rose in ports by another 5-10 $/t to 185-190 $/t.

Export prices of demand for sunseed remained unchanged and amount to 430-455 $/t DAP Bulgaria , 405-410 $/t DAP Turkey and 415-420 $/t CIF Romania (port), although the growth of the dollar on the interbank market to 39,2-39,3 UAH/$ increased competition between exporters and processors.

According to the BAGE exchange, sunseed in Argentina threshed on 75% of the area, and the average yield increased to 2.02 t/ha compared to 2 t/ha last week. Therefore, the supply of Argentine meal and oil will soon increase on the global market.
