Sugar production is expected to increase in Poland

According to Agrodigital, this year’s sugar production in Poland is expected to reach a record 2.6 million tons due to higher yields and an increase in sugar beet acreage.
The Polish Association of Sugar Beet Producers reported that this season the average yield of sugar beet is estimated at 68 tons per hectare, which is 6% more than in the previous year. The total sugar beet production will amount to 19 million tons.
This year’s sugar beet harvesting campaign in Poland started in mid-August.
