StoneX raises forecasts for US corn and soybean yields in 2024
Brokerage StoneX on Tuesday raised its estimate for average US corn yields in 2024 to 184.0 bushels per acre (b/a) from 182.9 in its previous monthly report released on Sept. 4.
The company raised its corn production forecast to 15.222 billion bushels from 15.127 billion previously.
For soybeans, StoneX raised its forecast for US yields in 2024 to 53.5 b/d from the September 4 reading of 53.0. The firm forecast US soybean production at 4.613 billion bushels, up from the previous 4.575 billion.
