Start to the new season for Ukrainian wheat
1.2 MMT was exported in July (-1% from July 2019/20 and +39% from the five-year July average). In July, the highest volume went to Thailand – 187 KMT, or up 168% year-on-year, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Last season’s major importers – Indonesia and Tunisia – also boosted purchases from a year earlier, by 50% and 240%, respectively.
Egypt is making purchases at the same pace as a year ago.
Demand from the Philippines and Turkey weakened in July.
