South Korea purchased 134 thsd tons of feed corn
South Korean company Major Feedmill Group (MFG) purchased 134,000 tons of feed corn in two private deals, according to Zerno On-Line, citing European traders.
The first deal involved purchasing 68,000 tons of US-origin corn from Posco at $249.78 per ton C&F plus a $1.50 per ton surcharge for unloading at a second port, as well as at the March CBOT corn contract price plus 197 US cents per bushel. Delivery to South Korea is expected on February 20.
The second transaction involved the purchase of 66,000 tonnes of corn at a price of $250.49 per tonne C&F plus a $1.25 per tonne surcharge for unloading at a second port, as well as at the March CBOT corn contract price plus 198.3 US cents per bushel. Delivery to South Korea is expected on March 12.
