Russian wheat exports to Philippines increased fourfold

Almost 5 MMT of Russian wheat was exported in September (+20% from August and +7% from September 2019/20). July-September exports totaled almost 12 MMT (-1% on the year), UkrAgroConsult reports.
The top five importers remain unchanged: Turkey, Egypt, Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Nigeria.
The majority of key importers stepped up purchases year-on-year: Egypt (+15%), Bangladesh (+71%), Azerbaijan (+10%), Nigeria (+9%), the EU (+9%), the Philippines (up fourfold).
Exports to Turkey are 23% behind last year, though the country remains the top importer of Russian wheat.
