russia will withdraw from the grain deal – opinion
With a 99% probability, Russia will withdraw from the grain deal in July 2023. Olga Trofimtseva, acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine in 2019, wrote about this on her Telegram channel.
According to her, one of the reasons for Russia’s behavior was that Erdogan successfully won the election and became the leader of Turkey again. The second factor behind Russia’s withdrawal from the grain deal is the statement by Uralchem co-owner Dmitry Mazepin to Putin about the actual completion of the terminal for ammonia exports from Russia. This means that the Togliatti-Odesa ammonia pipeline is no longer so important.
“What are we going to do in this case? The Ministry of Infrastructure says there is a plan B. I have not seen it. But if we are talking about UAH 20 million allocated to compensate for damage to ships, then it is about nothing. And this is not a plan,” said Olga Trofimtseva.
