Russia. Rusagro reconstructing Atkarsky oil extraction plant into a major mayonnaise producer
Mayonnaise sales by Rusagro Group in Q2 2020 were down 10% year-on-year. The decrease in demand stemmed from the closure of cafes and restaurants due to the coronavirus pandemic, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Atkarsky oil-extraction plant has been converted from sunflower oil production to making mayonnaise. It is preparing to increase finished-product output and become the largest in Europe.
The design capacity is 80 KMT of mayonnaise a year.
The investment project costs RUB 6 Bl.
