Russia may change the sunflower seed export regime
Russia is planning to raise export duty on sunflower seed from February 2021, to 20% but no less than EUR 80/MT (the current duty rate equals 6.5% but no less than EUR 9.75/MT), UkrAgroConsult reports.
The sub-commission for customs tariff and non-tariff regulation and protective measures in the foreign trade has found it expedient to lift the rate for the period from February 1 to August 31, 2021.
It was also found expedient to extend until August 31, 2020 the sunseed export ban imposed by the Eurasian Economic Commission from April 12 to June 30, 2020.
