Russia. Imposition of export duty on sunflower seed remains an open question
In Russia, the imposition of export duty on sunflower seed due to record 2019/20 oilseed exports is still an open question, UkrAgroConsult reports.
The Fat and Oil Union does not rule out that this regulatory mechanism will be used from Q2 2020 or even from March 2020, for a term of up to six months.
By order of the government, the expediency of raising export customs duty on sunflower seed is now at the stage of consideration.
The Fat and Oil Union previously insisted on raising the sunseed duty rate from 6.5% to 20%.
