Russia. VTB planning to buy an IT-platform for Uber-type grain transportation
Demetra Holding, which belongs to Russia’s large agroholding VTB, may buy an IT-platform for automating grain transportation called “Smartseeds.” The platform’s operational principle is based on the “Uber for X” model, allowing its users to make shipping orders, reserve the unloading time at grain terminals, and track the cargo movement. Smartseeds joins customers, transport owners and drivers. 6,000 transportation companies and major grain exporters are connected to the platform.
The platform costs more than RUB 200 Ml, UkrAgroConsult reports.
