This is was unexpected rise due to combination of supportive factors – world wheat trends, geopolitics, weaker EUR and several international tenders.

At its recent tender Algeria’s OAIC bought about 690 KMT of milling wheat (May-June delivery, meaning from 2025 crop), rumoured to be sourced mainly from the Black Sea, including Romania. Same delivery dates were seen in Tunisian tender, where 100 KMT of milling wheat were booked, while Jordan is actively purchasing the new crop wheat from the Black Sea.
