Weather conditions. Air temperatures in the east remained above long-term normals (2..4°C higher), while in the rest of the country they were within the long-term range (+14..+25°С).
Moisture supply. Precipitation occurred all over the country (20-65 mm), excluding the southern regions bordering with Bulgaria. Some northern and southwestern areas received 80-100 mm of precipitation that caused waterlogging there.
Rainfall over the past two weeks has substantially increased moisture content and further improved conditions for fall planting, especially in the northern, northwestern and central regions. Farmers are finishing corn harvest and continue fall planting, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Weather forecast for October 8-12: increased air temperatures are expected in the country (4..6°C above normal).
However, effective precipitation in northern, western and central areas will continue increasing moisture supply.
