Romania to install a new drone defense system on the border with Ukraine

Romania will soon receive an advanced drone defense system after a number of incidents with the fall of drone debris used by the Russian Federation to attack southern Ukraine. This is reported by HotNews.ro with reference to sources.
The new system will be installed on the border with Ukraine. Romania will receive this system with the consent of NATO on the basis of an intergovernmental agreement with one of the partner countries.
According to the portal’s interlocutors, this is one of the most powerful anti-drone systems in Europe.
Earlier, the Romanian Defense Ministry concluded that the drones falling on Romanian territory were accidental – they were Russian drones attacking Ukrainian Danube ports and being shot down by the Ukrainian air defense.
