Romania received almost no effective precipitation
Weather conditions. It became much warmer in Romania this past week, with air temperatures being 7-9°С above normal. On October 15, they even returned to 27-28°С in the south.
Moisture supply. At the same time, the country received almost no effective precipitation. The soil moisture deficit persists in all of its farming regions, except for the northeast and small areas in central Romania and near the Danube Delta, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Planting of winter crops in Romania is drawing to an end. The best time to sow winter wheat expires on October 20-30. The planting conditions are rated unfavorable: farmers are still waiting for effective precipitation. According to weather forecasts, this week will only see little precipitation (5-10 mm) in the north and northeast of the country.
