
Romania: corn export potential seen as second largest on record

Despite the extreme drought in 2020, during 2020/21 Romanian corn export pace exceeded our expectations, UkrAgroConsult reports.
In 2020/21 Spain returned as the most important buyer of Romanian corn, while Turkey moved to the 8th place on the list from number one in 2019/20.
In 2021/22 Romania will remain an important corn supplier to the EU.
Export potential is seen as second largest in 2021/22 after the record of 2019/20 and will depend on price attractiveness of Romanian corn. Perspectives for 2021 crop look quite optimistic.
