Romania. Soil drought spread all over the country’s farming areas

Weather conditions. Air temperatures in Romania are still above their long-term normal levels (6..9°С). The average daytime air temperature varied within +16..+28°С. In the south, the thermometers showed +35°С on September 3.
Moisture content. This past week, little precipitation was seen in the northeastern and central regions (5-15 mm over the week). Soil drought spread all over the country’s farming areas that is an unfavorable factor for planting winter crops.
Romanian farmers continue harvesting corn, sunflower and planting winter rape, reports UkrAgroConsult.
