Qatar has contributed $20 million to the “Grain from Ukraine” program

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone conversation with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, thanking him for contributing $20 million to the Grain from Ukraine program.
Zelenskyy also noted the important mediation role of Qatar and the Sheikh’s personal position in the return of Ukrainian children illegally deported by Russia. The parties discussed further coordination in this area.
The parties also touched upon the continuation of work on the implementation of the Ukrainian peace formula and the organization of the upcoming Global Peace Summit. Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited the Qatari representative to the next meeting of advisors in Davos.
