Putin meets with Erdogan to blackmail the world with grain from Ukraine again – opinion

The meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Erdogan regarding Ukrainian grain could lead to provocations in the sea corridor. This opinion was expressed by Pavlo Koval, Director General of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, on Kyiv24 TV channel.
“If the aggressor starts talking about this topic, there may be provocations in our existing sea corridor. We would not like that,” Koval said.
He noted that the previous grain corridor provided for trilateral mirror agreements – Russia-Turkey-UN, Ukraine-Turkey-UN.
“And now they want to meet without Ukraine and talk about Ukrainian exports. The situation is “interesting,” and I think there will be a reaction from the Ukrainian leadership,” suggested Pavlo Koval.
He also expressed the opinion that Putin needs such a visit and such negotiations, despite the fact that Erdogan will also benefit from this meeting.
“I am convinced that Putin is interested in returning to the platform of blackmailing grain and logistics from Ukraine. And they are hiding behind the right umbrella that grain from Ukraine should reach its destination,” the expert explained.
At the same time, Pavlo Koval noted that Ukrainian grain is already reaching its destination without the involvement of Russia and Turkey thanks to the current sea corridor.
“This tool works. It is not only Odesa seaports: Pivdennyi, Chornomorsk, Odesa. These are also the Danube ports, and logistics have already been established there,” the expert summarized.
