Polish government agreed to fulfill the demands of farmers who threatened to resume blocking the border with Ukraine
Poland’s Ministry of Agriculture said it was ready to fulfill all three demands of farmers from the Zrazajene Selo association who threatened to resume their protest on the border with Ukraine.
This was stated by Deputy Minister Michal Kolodziejczak, commenting on the demands of the farmers’ association “Betrayed Village”, which is deciding whether to resume the protest at the Medyka checkpoint on the border with Ukraine, RMF24 reports.
“The Ministry accepts all three demands of the farmers and will start working on their implementation,” Kolodziejczak said.
Among other things, farmers want more subsidies for corn producers, additional money for liquidity loans, and keeping the agricultural tax at the current level next year.
As a reminder, Polish farmers from this association began blocking the transition to Medicare on November 23, 2023. They planned to continue the protest until January 3.
