Poland reacts to Zelensky’s words about the “mocking” situation on the border

Polish Minister of Development Krzysztof Getman responded to the words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding the “mocking” situation at the border amid the war.
“This is not a normal and usual situation, because farmers should be able to work normally, not block roads and stand at border crossings,” he said.
He added that he could understand the emotions of the head of a country at war. However, he emphasized that the farmers’ protests are not related to politics.
“I don’t think this is the first time President Zelensky has spoken out quite sharply. I’m trying to understand a person who is under tremendous pressure, even though I don’t agree with what he said,” he said.
According to him, “given the totality of our relationship, given the fact that we support Ukraine, that we have supported it from day one, I would be careful.
I would be careful in making such statements because this is really not about politics. I would advise our partners and friends from Ukraine to be a little more sensitive to the problems of not only Polish farmers,” the Development Minister added.
