Malaysian palm oil futures opened lower on Monday, tracking weakness in rival vegetable oils and weighed down by downbeat cargo surveyor data.

The benchmark palm oil contract FCPOc3 for March delivery on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange slid 36 ringgit, or 0.75%, to 4,780 ringgit ($1,072.23) a metric ton in early trade, extending losses to a second session.

Further development of the grain and oilseed markets of Ukraine and the Black Sea region will be in the spotlight of the BLACK SEA GRAIN. KYIV conference, taking place on April 22–23 in Kyiv. The event will focus on strategic directions for the agricultural sector through 2030, including investments, energy independence, processing, and exports of high-value products.
