Over the weekend, 15 ships left Ukrainian ports as part of the “grain initiative”
On Saturday, September 24, another 8 ships departed from the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk as part of the “grain initiative”. According to the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure, 131.3 thousand tons of agricultural products for the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe were loaded on board.
On Sunday, September 25, as part of the implementation of the “grain initiative”, 7 ships with 146.2 thousand tons of agricultural products for the countries of Africa, Asia and Europe left the ports of “Odesa”, “Chornomorsk” and “Pivdeniy”. This is stated in the notification of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
In particular, Moonlight and Chios Freedom departed from the berths of Odesa port. Bulk carriers Hermes, Blue Star, Super Martinelli depart from Chornomorsk port. From the port “South” – ATA 2, Aspasia Luck.
Since the departure of the first ship with Ukrainian food, 4.85 million tons of agricultural products have been exported.
A total of 218 ships left Ukrainian ports with agricultural products that were sent to the countries of Asia, Europe and Africa.
The agreement on the “grain corridor” was signed on July 22 in Istanbul in the presence of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. The two relevant documents were signed by representatives of Ukraine, Russia, the UN and Turkey. It is about unblocking three Ukrainian ports: “Odesa”, “Chornomorsk” and “Pivdeniy”.
