Over the past two years, rapeseed processing in Ukraine has increased by 21%
Rapeseed acreage in Ukraine is expanding, despite the ban on imports to neighboring countries. This was told at BLACK SEA GRAIN. EUROPE-2024 was told by Yulia Garkavenko, the expert of oilseeds markets at UkrAgroConsult.
Thus, the record harvest of rapeseed is expected in 2023.
“We are witnessing a sharp increase in the production and export of rapeseed oil and meal. Therefore, over the last two years, rapeseed processing has increased by 21%, while earlier this growth was observed at the level of 6-10%,” said Garkavenko.

According to UkrAgroConsult analysts, rapeseed production in the Black Sea region will remain at record high in 2024.
“In case of favorable weather, the rapeseed harvest in the region may rise to a new record again,” added Garkavenko.
