As of the end of March 2025, the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian initiative has delivered more than 280,000 tons of food to countries facing food crises. Recent deliveries include wheat flour and oil to regions with high levels of food insecurity.
For example, on March 10, a ship with 415.9 tons of oil arrived in Mozambique. Also, on February 27, an important delivery of 4,400 tons of wheat flour to Syria was completed. According to WFP, this shipment will help provide bread to more than 59,000 Syrians for six months.
The goal of the program is to deliver Ukrainian food to the most vulnerable countries in Africa, Asia and the Middle East with the financial support of donor countries and in coordination with the UN World Food Programme (WFP).
Further development of the grain sector in the Black Sea and Danube region will be discussed at the 23 International Conference BLACK SEA GRAIN.KYIV on April 24 in Kyiv.
