Oman opens market for chicken from Ukraine

The Sultanate of Oman has allowed the import of meat, offal and other poultry products from Ukraine.
This step became possible after the approval of veterinary requirements and the form of the corresponding certificate between the competent authorities of both countries, the State Food and Consumer Protection Service reports.
“From now on, Ukrainian exporters are able to supply the Sultanate of Oman with poultry products that meet the veterinary and sanitary requirements of this country, including the conditions of production, processing, transportation, packaging and labeling,” the report states.
The State Food and Consumer Protection Service noted that this is the ninth new export market for Ukrainian products opened since the beginning of the year.
As reported, in August last year, the Kingdom of Bahrain opened access to its market for Ukrainian producers of poultry meat and products from it.
At the same time, last year, the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), owned by the Public Investment Fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, became a co-owner of one of the largest Ukrainian agricultural holdings, MHP, owned by Yuriy Kosyuk. SALIC purchased 13.51 million shares of MHP SE on the market, concentrating 12.6% of the agricultural holding’s outstanding shares.
